What we collect
- Contact form, Solution Finder & demo assistants: the business details and messages you choose to share (e.g. industry, the tasks that take your time, and — only if you offer it — your name and email).
- Assistant transcripts: we log conversations with Ada and the live industry demo assistants so we can follow up and improve our recommendations.
- Accounts, agreements & billing: for clients and account holders, the profile, agreement, signing, and billing details needed to provide our services, including prepaid credit and rental records. Payment-card details are handled by our payment processor, and we do not store full card numbers.
- Private AI use: if you use our Private AI services, the account details above, the intended use you tell us when you request a rental, and the technical usage records described under "Private AI and the AI service API" below.
- Business contacts we research: we may collect information that businesses publish about themselves: company details; the names, job titles, and business email addresses and phone numbers a company publishes for business contact; public procurement notices; job postings the company publishes; and public registry records.
- Cookieless, first-party analytics: privacy-respecting usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate acquisition channel). We do not use tracking cookies, we use no third-party tracking or advertising networks, and we do not derive your location from your IP address. Your IP address is retained briefly for fraud prevention and abuse management (up to 90 days), and as a permanent one-way hash for bot detection.
How we use it
To respond to you, prepare your free consult, provide and bill for our services, improve the site and our service (analytics are used in aggregate), offer our services to businesses that may need them, comply with the law, enforce our Terms, and protect against abuse. We send a lead notification to our own team when you reach out.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host, run, or support the site and our services for us (for example hosting, email delivery, AI processing, and payment processing), who may use it only to provide those services to us and must protect it.
- Legal and safety: when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, under this policy.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
Communications & opt-out
If you submit the contact form or ask an assistant to email you, we may send service-related and transactional messages about your request. If you opt in, you may receive a limited number of follow-ups; every such message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of non-transactional messages at any time. If we email your business about our services, every message identifies us and has a working unsubscribe link; you can also reply "stop" or use the contact form, and we stop when you ask. We do not make automated calls or send text messages unless you agree to them separately.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't pool or resell your content. Your information isn't used to train a public AI model, and the content you send through our Private AI services is not used to train or improve any model. Exports we generate for our own use never contain raw IP addresses. We do not collect sensitive personal data about the business contacts we research, and we do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Your AI key or Private AI account
For custom builds, the AI runs on your provider key, in which case your usage data stays under your account with that provider, or on your own account for our Private AI services, in which case the usage records described below are kept by us.
Hosted AI agent (for clients)
If we provision an embeddable or hosted AI agent for you, the conversations between your agent and your visitors, the leads it captures, and the knowledge you add are your data: you are responsible for it (including any notice or consent your visitors require), and we process it only to run, secure, and support the agent for you. It runs on your own AI key or your own Private AI account, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train any public AI model. Agent conversations are retained on a rolling basis (currently about 90 days) and you can export or delete your data from your portal; captured leads are kept separately so the rolling deletion doesn't remove them.
Private AI and the AI service API
If you use our Private AI services or our AI service API, including the test console on this site, the content you send and the answers you receive pass through our API gateway without being written to our databases, logs, or backups. We do not use that content to train or improve any model, and we do not read or review it. Unless the law requires otherwise, we do not keep it; if a legal order requires us to keep or disclose information about your use, we will tell you first where the law allows. The test console keeps no prompt or answer; it only counts how many times you use it each day.
We do keep a record of each request's technical details, not its content: the time, the key used, the model, the amount of use, the timing, the outcome, the network address, and the name of the software that made the request. We use these records to provide, secure, bill, limit, and support the service, and we keep them for up to 400 days. We also keep the account, prepaid credit, rental, and payment records needed to provide and bill for the service, as described under Retention.
This promise covers Private AI itself. A website, portal, agent, or product that uses Private AI, including ours, keeps what its own pages say it keeps; for example, hosted agent conversations are kept as described above.
Retention
- Contact form leads: up to 2 years, then deleted.
- Finder and site assistant transcripts (Ada, demos): up to 90 days, then deleted.
- Hosted agent conversations (your clients): rolling 90-day window, as described above.
- Private AI usage records: up to 400 days, then deleted. The content of Private AI requests and answers is not written to our databases, logs, or backups.
- Raw IP addresses: up to 90 days for abuse management, then permanently removed from our records.
- Business contacts we research: up to 18 months without engagement, then deleted. If you opt out, we keep a one-way hash of your address so we can keep honoring your choice.
- Accounts, agreements & billing (including credit and rental records): for as long as the account or relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as our legal, tax, and accounting obligations require.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you through the contact form. We may need to confirm the request comes from you, and we may keep what the law requires or what we need to honor an opt-out.
Children
The site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe we have, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.
Do Not Track
We do not track visitors across other websites, so the site does not change how it works in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version, and changes take effect when posted.
Contact
Use the contact form on this site for any privacy question or request. We do not publish a contact email address or phone number, and we do not receive or monitor postal mail — the form delivers your message to our private inbox and we reply to the address you provide.
